At minimum: an Excel or CSV progress file with columns for discipline, planned hours, earned hours, and spent hours per data date. That alone unlocks CPI, SPI, EAC, VAC, and AI-generated recommendations. Add a Primavera P6 XER to unlock schedule health, critical paths, and baseline-drift analysis.

Open the Update Progress modal on any project. To correct historical progress, just re-upload your Excel/CSV — snapshots update in place, and any cell you leave blank preserves the previously recorded Planned/Earned/Spent value (no wipe or reset required). If the CONTRACT baseline was formally re-baselined, attach the new P6 XER via the 'Approved baseline' picker in the same modal — Controls Star tracks slippage vs the baseline you upload, not vs day-1 estimates.

The AI reads your KPIs, discipline breakdown, and P6 schedule health together and writes: (1) an executive summary that tells the story instead of restating numbers, (2) 3-5 non-obvious findings (trend inflections, downstream risk chains, milestone leverage), (3) 3-5 concrete this-week actions with expected leverage, and (4) per-discipline weekly-focus guidance. It's advisory, not narrative — it won't tell you 'CPI is 0.85' because you already see that on the KPI cards.

Weekly is the sweet spot for construction projects — matches most owner reporting cadences and gives the AI enough delta to surface trend inflections. Daily is supported (helpful for high-velocity commissioning phases). Monthly works but you'll miss early warning signals.
